Naughty Me!

Oh my, I am so neglectful! It has been over a month, almost two months since I last posted on here. I'm just so caught up in getting Mirage finished and perfect, I forget everything else.
I promise to be better! Really I do! As a treat here is a short excerpt...
Also - huge change, I've renamed the heroine from Tatjana to Eliza...
Keep watching, I am contemplating putting up the entire first chapter right here!

"Eliza, there you are! Come, you're having lunch in my office. It seems Mr. Rothschild wishes to meet you." Her brown eyes went up and down me like a fine tooth comb. Like she was looking for some flaw to call me out on.
Ashley Harrison, though an attractive enough woman was by most standards overweight. Though she looked as if she stepped out of a magazine herself, one could tell, if they knew her at all, she was unhappy. All the expensive makeup, clothing and shoes in the world couldn't hide that.
"Stop standing there like a star struck teenager. Jack hates to be kept waiting."
I turned and followed along behind her, trying to keep up with her long strides. Jack is it? Not Mr. Rothschild. Sighing I figured working that closely with the owner of one of his many fortune five hundred companies gave you the right to call him by whatever name he told you to. If he said jump, you jumped.

Sizzlin' New Excerpt From Mirage!

I'm so glad everyone had fun with the blog tour! It was my first and really enjoyed it. As a treat, I'm going to post another excerpt from Mirage. . .
Hold on...

Alex whispered in my ear. "Mr. Rothschild is expecting you. He's in suite 2022."
"Thank you," I replied, convinced I would be thought to be a call girl now.
Walking across the lobby I found the bank of elevators and waited. A car quickly appeared and I waited for it to empty. Following a small crowd I entered and pushed the button. I made every effort to not look at myself in the highly polished brass and to not to look at others.
Was this his love hideaway? Somewhere he could bring women rather than his own place? I mean he did have enough money to keep a penthouse suite here at his beckon call. Cold and impersonal. This way his date would never know where he lived, should she not like being discarded by the very seductive and wealthy Jack Rothschild.
Exiting the elevator car, I quickly found the suite. I sucked in a deep breath as I stared at the door. After a few seconds I knocked.
I didn't have to wait long. Jack himself appeared before me, dressed in dark grey slacks, a charcoal colored shirt and purple tie. Right then I immediately forgot any hesitations I might have had about coming here.
"Tatiana," he said, as I passed beside him. "You look ravishing this evening."
I said nothing at first, gliding into the parlor. I turned to face him. "Thank you, and thank you for inviting me." Then as to convince myself the reason he'd invited me in the first place, I continued. "You're right, this is a better choice. I think any more closed door meetings between the two of us and Ashley might lose it."
"Why?" He inquired. "Did she say something to you?"
Rather than go into detail I decided to keep my answer simple. "No, not really. It was obvious she wasn't happy being excluded from our conference with Maggie."
"Well there was no reason for her to be involved," he replied. "Could I get you something to drink? Wine, champagne, perhaps?"
"Wine would be nice, thank you." I turned and walked towards the bank of windows overlooking the city. Manhattan really was one of a kind at night. Unlike any other city I'd been in.
Suddenly I felt his hot breath in my ear. His lips brushed behind my ear. "Beautiful, isn't it?"
I had no room to breathe. One of his hands pressed flat to my stomach, pulling me back against him. I didn't fight him. I didn't want to. I found myself craving his touch, wanting more.
"Turn around, Tatiana."
As I slowly did, I moistened my lips. He groaned, lowered his head and sealed his mouth over mine. I was astounded at how soft those sensuous lips were. I sighed and his tongue slipped inside. He seemed to be tasting me in long, erotic licks, and it turned me on, making me crazy.
The hand he'd had on my waist was now resting on the curve of my hip, or rather my butt. Pulling me closer into him, he growled, deepening the kiss, stroking my tongue with his own. I kissed him back as though I might never get another chance. My breasts were tender against my bra and my clit screamed for him to touch me. His right hand pushed my dress up towards my waist. His breath hissed as his hand touched my thigh, until he had the dress where he desired it. Instinctively I parted my legs, allowing him access. (c)2014cdblackstone

Teaser- Excerpt From Mirage

As promised here is a excerpt from my upcoming, debut novel - Mirage!

Flagging down a waitress I ordered another drink as I rubbed my tired feet. I would probably live to regret it in the morning, but I was far from finished dancing.
That's when I first noticed him sitting at an adjacent table. Not because he was slightly older than most of the crowd. He wasn't the only over twenty-five patron in the building. It was him. He had to of been the most perfect specimen of the male species I'd ever seen. There he sat, by himself, taking in the crowd, and from time to time casting a glance my way.
The waitress returned, setting my drink in front of me. All the while this mysterious handsome stranger sat there quietly, nursing his drink. I cast a glance over at him. He obviously thought a lot of himself. He was meticulously dressed, his dark hair well coiffed, as was his goatee. That face...chiseled, and ruggedly flawless. His eyes, well his eyes were a shade of deep blue I don't think I'd ever seen before. All this magnificent maleness sitting right before me. I concluded he must be somebody important, judging by the way he carried himself and the meticulous dress. But who?
He lifted his glass my way in a mock salute just as Chase and his dance partner slid into their seats laughing and chatting rather loudly. When I was finally able to scope this Adonis out further, he was nowhere to be found. His seat empty, his glass sitting on the table the only reminder he'd been real.©ChelseaBlackstone2014

We were having a fabulous time at one of the city's hottest techno-pop clubs Chase insisted we check out. I danced until I thought my feet would fall off. I couldn't remember the last time I'd had so much fun dancing. The music, lights and atmosphere were precisely what the doctor ordered. It was also a great way to burn off some of the mega calorie Italian pasta we'd consumed a few hours before.
Feigning I needed a break, I left the packed dance floor in search of our table. Chase blew me a kiss as he grabbed some Goth looking brunette he'd found and headed deeper amid the grinding bodies. He'd always been a party boy. He lived for Friday's when we were in college.
I sat and watched as I sipped my drink which had become much watered down from neglect. Flagging down a waitress I ordered another as I rubbed my tired foot. I would probably live to regret it in the morning, but I was far from finished dancing.
